Paper sculpture with the fourth grade. The fourth graders were asked to make a small tracer using an organic shape. They were then asked to trace their shape onto a sheet of colored paper. After tracing their original shape the fourth graders were asked to trace their shape larger, onto another color of paper. They were asked to use the last piece they cut out as their next tracer so that they could keep tracing lager. I call this an "echo trace." They were allowed to pick any pattern of color they want. When they are finished cutting, they are going to glue the pieces stacked up with the smallest/ original piece on top.
